Loose water coloring

Hi,
I did not intend to post back to back but somehow going ahead with it!  I watched a video by Kelly Latevola on loose water coloring and I was totally inspired by the card she made. Her card is incredible and will blow your mind. I had to try it, the results are not as fantastic as hers but I totally loved the process of being a little messy and playing with water colors, adding layers and have fun! The only tough part was waiting for the colors to dry, as I do not have a heating tool, I had to be very patient with letting the colors dry before going for another layer.

I like the way colors just flow out of the image. Added some details using white and black gel pen also created a shadow using the grey water color pencil. For the coloring I have used DI.
Stamps and sentiment are from Mudra Wild rose and Beautiful butterflies.

I would definitely recommend to try this and have fun!

Sentiments only

Hi friends,
Today I am popping up to share a very simple card using only sentiments. I have come across many tutorials in the past where you use sentiment stamps to make cards. It has been in my to-do list for a while so two days back I was experimenting with my stamps and inks, I thought why not give it a try!

I have used the "You can do anything" stamp set from SSS. Stamped the main sentiment using grape jelly memento dye ink and masked it, then added the background sentiment using London fog.
Later masked the area and created the border by directly applying the ink on the card.

I still wanted some other element to it but was totally clue less. The red flower was in my stash which I had made using the circle punch so went with it.

I hope you enjoyed being here and I would love to hear what you think about this card. Thank you and have a great day!

Thinking of You....

Hey there.....all set up for the weekend? I am having a relaxed Friday evening and today I made 2 cards as well. In short a day well spent :).

I am still playing with my new stamp sets and cannot get enough of them. I couldn't resist posting one of the cards I made today as I really liked it how it turned up.

I have used the leaf stamps (Mudra- Leafy) and stamped few times using Memento dye inks in different colors. The butterfly(Mudra-Beautiful Butterflies) is fuzzy cut and colored using DI. I have added some shimmer to it as well. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I mounted this on a grey cardstock and also added a strip of paper of the same color as that of butterfly.

Here is one more pic.

I thoroughly enjoyed making it and I hope you too liked visiting my blog. I would love to hear from you.

Have a great weekend ahead!!!!

BLOOM where you are planted

Happy New year!!! Well I am little late though :). After many days I have come with a card. Yesterday got some new stamp sets and was eager to get started with it.

I stamped few flowers and colored them using water color pencils, added few details with white gel pen and some glitter. From one side cut the edges and adhered on one side of a grey cardstock.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set(Mudra- Wild Rose), used a layer of vellum and foam tape to add the sentiment on the card.

Here are the pics....
